SiteIndex.NET

Nice short, common name for a search site. The .com is undeveloped.

Google:
"site index"=4,470,000
siteindex=69,900

Value?

site index WOULD be HUGE!!!! It will beat the pants off google.com if properly developed. siteindex.com could easily be worth $1500, siteindex.net - $500 to the right buyer.

Wow! Thats a pretty tall statement for coming right out of the shute.

It would take more than a domain name to beat google.

Good domain name. I wouldn't take less than $500 for it.

Very nice .NET! This is a keeper ... and if that .COM isn't developed, maybe it's buyable ... or co-developable?? Good Luck.

Looks like my subtle sarcasm went over your head :) ("site index WOULD be HUGE!!!!" - caps and exclamation point = sarcasm) Hehe, I checked whois and noticed siteindex.net wasn't even registered, so I was hoping to hype it up and see if anybody would end up registering it. siteindex.com is only worth the registration fee unless it's developed. siteindex.net is worth very little unless you owned siteindex.com. Let's keep this little secret between the 2 of us!

Ummm ... I liked your little experiment, DNBuyer! These "tests" are a good way to help us all keep our feet on the ground.
But, were you also being sarcastic as to the above? I hope so, because if not, in your own words, it would make sense for you to register it. I'm sure that $500 was part of the hype, though ... so no worries. Keep up the good work! :) Good Luck.
PS. Please note MY .COM inference (above).

Sorry dnbuyer I wasn't wearing my catchers mit hat.
Your sarcasm went right over my head.

As far as that domain not being registered?
What whois are you using nowadays?

That domain is already registered.

It was NOT registered when I last posted! I can guarantee. So, looks like the little experiment indeed worked! :) Good Luck.

Depends on the whois your using I guess?
DNS propagation has been a bit slow the last few weeks.

There has been some funky stuff going on lately with the MCI bone.

Personally I think it's worth 1k+

Hey moron,
Thanks for telling the whole world it was unregged, next time give me a chance to get some serious appraisials. I probably wouldn't of purchased it anyway cause I haven't got the time to develope it, but if you find one unregged, keep it to yourself for awhile. Good luck to whoever bought it.............

Let me get this straight ... YOU put up a domain for appraisal BEFORE registering it?? I'm sorry, but if this is the case Schmidte you'd better replace the glass that your house was built with. Good Luck.

Haha, you're SO stupid. The only reason I told the "whole world" it was unregistered was because I didn't think anybody would be stupid enough to register a crappy .net domain. You're such a stupidass, it wouldn't surprise me if you WERE the one who now owns siteindex.net. I apologize for greatly under-estimating your stupidity.

It doesn't matter to me if I bought the name or not, but why make a big deal that it's unregged, if it's unregged, reg it, but I don't think we have to advertise the fact. I wish more people would get an appraisial before purchasing, because let's face it, 95% of the names appraised aren't worth reg fee. Sorry for the moron implication..............

don't worry, CoolHost, Schmidte beat everybody and registered siteindex.net after seeing the $500 appraisal. He's now denying he registered siteindex.net because he's feeling really stupid... that's because he IS stupid. Haha, I'm laughing my ass off! What a stupidass!

If you find a good one unregistered. Buy it!
Go with your gut feeling. Who cares what anybody on this or any board thinks?

Nothing wrong with being creative.
Your bound to get a good one once in a while.

If you look hard enough registering domains can be as low as $7-8 bucks.

NEVER EVER!
Post a domain here asking for an appraisal that is unregistered.

Half the droans here are looking for a better domain name for their unfinished website. Yikes!

Nothing personal, but you're an idiot. If you have to get an appraisal before registering a domain, then it's probably not worth the registration fee. Once again I must apologize for underestimating your stupidity.

Your last 2 posts are pretty hostile toward schmidte.

Pick on somebody your own size.

Are you just mad that somebody sniped you on the registration?
