What do you all think of the value of .info domians of a popular first or last name.

I tried to get .info for my name and was confronted with a $1000 price tag that was firm.

Anyway, while checking names of some of my friends I noticed

Candice.info

was available. I was surprised as the .biz and .us were taken.

Please appriase this name or just "name".info in general.

Thanks,

mbg

Anyone have any opinion here? I could use some input if you've got any.

well, vanity names are hard to predict, as you never know how far vanity will go.

first names of females in .com are worth more than normal for their use in porn sites.

Once you start getting to .info names a lot of the value is gone, but there's still some vanity level. Good vanity names (unlike some supposed vanity names discussed on other threads) are probably $100 minimum.

The best names for personal names on the Internet reside in .NET, imo. Unless, you are a hooker and need to .COMMERCIALISE your being *sad*

.INFO is somehow not a very good URL for personal names, cause you don't want people to visit your site for the sole purpose of finding out whether you are a felon, evading your taxes, or which women you have slept with. Leave .INFO to the FBI and local police databases

I do agree with you Mole about the .net.
I'm not a big fan of the .net extension but I think it is great for personal names.

Unfortunately my name is not for sale.
