The best with Namecheap though is that they offer free whois protection.. cost a dollar per domain at moniker.

well at namecheap a domain costs $8.88 including whois guard
At moniker with DNF pricing it would cost $6.95+$1(whois guard)=$7.95

Using the promocode at Namcheap would even this difference, but then again the promocode will not always be there and you cannot drop a domain if you don't want it(or make a typo)
