Namejet Bizarre Experience

So I signed up to NameJet at the beginning of the month.

I tried to log in but received this message: Your account is in further approval review. The review process can take a few days. Please contact Customer Support for any question.

A week later I contact their email support... No news.

Another week later I try again their email support. No news.

Last week I get on the phone and had a friendly chap on the phone who said it would be activated in a few hours. I check in later, still no activation.

Today I called them two times, nobody answered.

So I try contact them via Facebook. Get a reply and it goes like this:

Hi
Can someone help me?
I signed up for an account on 04/04

Good Morning! Please send an email to [email protected] with your inquiry.

Thank you for your prompt response
I did send an email on 08/04
Another one on 16/04
Also I called once and spoke to Malvin(?). He assured me my account would be active in a few hours
Unfortunately, until today I cannot place any orders

Can you please provide your domain name?

I don't have a domain name with namejet, I only signed up for an account
But its not active so I cannot place any orders
I signed up with my email ....
Do I need to use a company email? Or was there some data missing in my registration? What should I do?

A specialist just reviewed your account. It appears the issue is you did not provide a payment method. However, because you did not provide the system automatically disabled by default. You will need to log into your account and add our payment method.

I have emailed Namejet twice
I called today twice, no answer
I do not have any ticket

You would need to wait 24-48 hours for a response from Namejet. Kindest regards.


Is this a serious company? Is this situation normal? Anyone have any similar experiences?

No I never heard of anything similar. Did you have a previous account there or do they have reason to think that you might?

Not that I recall but who knows maybe some years back. I registered on here in 2008 and today is 2020 :)

Just got off the phone to support again: They said there is an open ticket from the 16th April so its only been a few days.

That they would update the ticket to "expedite" the approval.

I guess I have to wait...
