For Sale Namewinner confusion again

Ok,

so i had a bid on a name in Namewinner.

Shows "PENDING" in my watchlist.

Now i know might be the case someone else has outbid me in NW, BUT:

I just checked the whois for that name and it shows NamesDirect as registrar which i guess means Namewinner didn't get the name at all, but so why is it showing PENDING then ?

I thought NW would only show PENDING if at least it's sure *THEY* got the name for whomever?

Or is it NamesDirect belongs or is a part of NW/Dotster ?
