As you read in the subject. It's more than 30 days since Namewinner grabbed 3 domains for me which I paid for and they didn't provide any info about registrars where I could change nameserver info. They said they can change nameserver info for me, but can't provide registrar info for me yet. Hello! I want to have full control over domains I PAID for. I wrote them once again later asking them to provide the info already and they didn't reply.

If you can't deal with your partner registrars faster than in a week then I say you are no good, but more than 30 days?

Has anything like that happened to any of you?

I hear there's "namewinner guy" on this forum somewhere and that he can resolve issues faster. Ok, NWGuy I have an issue with NW, show yourself. Let's get this thing fixed and move on.

Same here. This really sucks. I got a domain through them in August and still have no log in info. I have never found any evidence of real support of any kind at NW/Dotster. If less that 60 days have passed you could always issue a chargeback on your credit card since the goods you paid for were never delivered.

I've been waiting 6 weeks for log in info - I'm just going to transfer the name after 60 days.

If you don't want the name anymore then do a chargeback, I'm sure they will notice this.

If you do want the name.. since emailing them doesn't seem to be working, why don't all the people who it is happening to complain to the better business bearu (sp?) or something...

If they get several complaints I believe they will check them out.

This is also starting to border on fraud... that's a very serious claim.. they are charging you for goods & not delivering & not answering your emails & even when they do it appears they are false claims.

OMG! There are so many people with this problem?! This is insane. Yep. If they don't react VERY soon I am gonna do a chargeback. Idiots.

What is funny is that they have so low support you have to pay other forums to get some answers there.

Money was not thrown out the window tho :) This forum was worth the expense ;)

I've had this problem too with a number of names, tho "only" like 2-3 weeks behind. Seems these new catchers are dragging their A**es getting accounts set up.

I think my next step will be contacting the catchers. ITs pretty frustrating to get billed and pay for something and then get no access....system needs to be reworked.

Seems NW is having bidding sytem probs too...
tried to bid on a few names..had it say I was high bidder in top area yet in the below area say I was not high bidder and was stuck at $30 no matter what I entered as a bid...funny thing is BuyDomains ended up with those domains...
hmmm

anyhow good luck

Hmmm, my ass!

BuyDomains ended-up with a Namewinner catch on which I had the high bid under precisely the same circumstances as you described, izoot. I'm still waiting for their response, to which I attached a time-stamped screenshot of the high bid.

Can you say P-I-S-S-E-D?!?!

That notwithstanding, from my own experience, (all too frequent) Namewinner support requests are usually handled within 24 hours -- often, within a few hours. Of course, that begs the question, "Why haven't I yet received their response on THIS disturbing matter?!"

I can say pissed...fortunatly in this situation it won't kill me it wasn't a name UI can't live without....But theres obviously a problem somewhere.

In the past I have also recieved good response to my email to NW. Its only as of late since they added the new catchers that the problems have started. I would say in regards to the delayed name info that its the new catchers fault as they are dragging their butts and NW hasn't much control over that. But it needs to be fixed.

As to the BuyDomains theory...thats all it is. But its mighty strange that in my cases and yours that they ended up with the names.

Anyhow...

I've been there and done that with NW. Supposedly that wasn't going to happen anymore with the new interface. Looks like that was wishful thinking. No sure why they have such a big problem awarding merchandise to the high bidder. Doesn't seem to be a problem at Ebay and other internet auctions.

I am in a little bit of a different situation.
I won a domain on ebay, and it is handles through a company called onlinedomainzone.com . Apparently, they go through dotster.
I am trying to transfer this domain to my own registar but neither them nor dotster answer ANY emails!!!
the domain seems to be in 'locked' status, and I can not unlock it, even though they guy I bought the domain from game me all of the account...
This thread is great because I was just about to use namewinner for a few domains... and of course, dotster is who they use.

Got the following response from Namewinner from my complaint:-

"That domain was grabbed by one of our registrar partners and they have not yet been able to set up an account for you. We are now able to automatically update name servers for our partner domains. To alleviate the urgency of obtaining an account with the partner, you can let us know what name servers you would like to use for that domain and we will apply them for you.

Also note that if you set your default name servers in your Dotster account, all future NameWinner registrations will automatically have them assigned, even with our partner registrars.

We apologize for the delay and we look forward to your response."

ya I got a response like that too, BUT I didn't pay so some 3rd person will update my nameservers! I want a full control over them, I want a registrar login. This way I have no idea who actually has my domains and I can't even say they are mine. I don't even know which whois DB to use to check for correct info and ownership. I got this response 2 weeks ago, so how long will it take them to deal with their partner registrars? My feeling is that they made some wrong deals with some wrong registrars and now these domains are stuck somewhere in the middle. So now they offer us this solution, BUT what when I'll have to change my nameservers in the future? I don't want to risk it with these domains when I don't actually own them, can't transfer them and do whatever I want with them. I paid for that "privileges" and now I don't have them. Chargeback anyone?
