NameWinner.com is doing great lately.

With all the competion it is astounding that they can grab
the amount of the names they do.

Today they made some real nice cash with these two:

HomeShop.com - $4500.00

MailGuard.com - $4500.00

There were a few others that were $1k + as well.

I'm wondering how it is possible to get the lions share
when there are 30+ registrars grabing:confused:

They slip a $20 tip to the the guy with the delete button over at Verisign, to let the best names go at the precise moment that they'll be trying for them.

I think they rejiggered their computers during the downtime to zero in on the higher bid names. I have had many 8.75 bids drop that they haven't even bothered to pick up - including two more today that I just wound up registering manually. Can't say I blame them of course.

They were tuned well.
I have not seen such a nice result until now.
It is difficult to become the highest bidder.

The good name is not a wholesale price.

Auction Fever is a STRONG force.

The prices are mostly way inflated.

With big drops happening every day, it's going to be
difficult or impossible to buy many desireable names...

A number of the good names are going to certain other grabbers. It depends which niches you are watching, I guess. To some people, MailGuard.com is not a $4000 domain.

I wouldn't pay more than $200 for MailGuard.com

I'm actually surprised those names got such high bids.

If it doesn't mean the person "stuff" in any means, I'm sorry.
I just change my comments to "avoid even the appearance of evil".

They did miss these 3:

Powergear.com - $1000
shavedgirls.com - $1200
xx.com - $3670

NW seems to not be picking up .orgs at all. I had a bunch on my purchase list for months and noticed many became available Sunday and they weren't picking any of them up. I scrambled around and manually registered 18 domains that had all become available. There were some very good ones in there that I'm sure I would have lost if I had not noticed they were not registering them for me. I did lose a couple that someone else grabbed before I got to them, but it could have been worse. PIR had said they might take up to 3 months before resuming drops, so maybe NW wasn't prepared when they resumed dropping after just a one week break.
