That's a good deal. I'm checking a netbook for $259.

If you do programming, I highly recommend at least 4GB memory to run smoothly.

True. I am not sure of the weight of this so you may want to check the weight/size of this vs. the netbook.

This is still a generous offering for an entry level notebook.

I will not be getting this as I have enough at the moment.

Definitely worth posting for others to consider.

Ok, I think I was able to re-post a link with no affiliates.

affiliate links are a violation - yours or not.
This is the advertising section. That is where they belong.

Links to outside sources. This is an outside source, I am posting an ad from another source for a product, and I am not affiliated with it at all.

Hey, lets get back to the thread.

That being for a discount Toshiba Laptop.

You either want it or not.

I invite all of you and all members to start new links on products that can save members money.

Perhaps even a new sub-section.

I know your not, but someone was, a linkshare affiliate link was being used. I never said it was yours! We are not allowed to use affiliate links in advertising page either, as far as I know- i was once warned by a mod not to use affiliate link for external links!

hhhmmmm.... curious as to why you would want some other person or source to make money from the affiliate link? I imagine the commission is substantial on a computer. Why not simply post a direct link in the first place?

Nothing to be curious at.

The deal was posted on another forum that I occasionally visit.

I posted a link and did not scrutinize it.

Period.

End of statement.

Reason I was curious is because most anyone can tell instantly from a mile away it's a LinkShare affiliate link. It even says in the link the word Affiliates- followed by the long affil code.

Affiliates-_-Linkshare&siteID=lw9MynSeamY-FvxVejCkzEyb2gxf3NTf0w

The link was posted.

I did not scrutinize it.

It is not my link.

It is not my affiliate link.

I have no idea who the link belongs to.

I copy and pasted the link without scrutinizing it.

The link source was not even in my thoughts when posting this.

It's a damn shame posting what I thought was a good deal for those needed a laptop has evolved into all these allegations.

The issue is not the link source but a product.

If people want to call me a liar then just call me a liar and quit skirting the issue.

Just grow some cajones.
