Hi Gurus,

I just got an offer for a domain name on sedo and want to know if making a counter-offer will cancel the first offer.

I mean if the buyer rejects my counter-offer, can I still accept his first offer?

Many thanks

If you counter with an offer too high, the other party can cancel negotiations. In my experience though, people will usually not cancel a negotiation after the first offer/counter. They expect to have some back and forth. One thing that I do to keep the party engaged is to add comments / questions to the negotiation. You can feel them out and see where they are. They will be less inclined to just end it. Numerous times, I have agreed on a price via comments in the negotiation, then we just set the price and it is accepted. Voila!

Best of luck.
