I need some quick help on transferring domains out of godaddy and into moniker.

Both sites seem to say that the transfer process needs to be initiated w/ the other registrar..

Moniker requires auth codes to initiate transfers

Enter the domains you wish to transfer

*** One name per line.
*** Include Transfer Auth Code

An example:
Domain1.com,authcode
Domain2.net,authcode
Domain3.info,authcode

Godaddy says "After unlocking your domain, you can initiate a transfer with your new registrar. When you complete the process with the new registrar, we send you an email message that includes instructions for authorizing the transfer away from us."

so wtf? how do i get the auth code from godaddy? or what do i need to do first?

thanks

In a nutshell, go to GD into the domain you want to move. You have to a) Click on Unlock the domain, and 2) Click on Authorization Code which is emailed to you.

It looks like:

Locked: Locked (Change)
Authorization Code: (Send by Email)

Then fill in the registrar transfer info at Moniker.

ok, the problem was that i was trying to do this for multiple domains through the control panel and that link for authorization code does not appear anywhere in the CP. So now i understand that I have to click and go into each specific domain that i want to transfer. So is there no way to do bulk domain auth cod?

Thanks again

Sort of. Go to your domain list, then choose Tools, then Exportable Lists. I believe you can create a custom report that sends you all the authorization codes. Then you can cut and paste in a spreadsheet.

I think godaddy do not have bulk Auth key purposely.
One time, I moved few hundreds to Moniker and it was lots of clicking.
