recently moved a script to a different site and now it has a small error. It should be a simple matter, but its sure not for me. I need someone to take a look, and tell me what I did wrong.

I would pay to have it done, but really hoping to find someone that will fix for free. It would seem pretty simple and hardly worth a project fee on the freelance sites.

TIA

Keshe,

more than likely you have done nothing wrong and the problem lays in the configuration of php which may be missing some extar libs (think of it like modifying a car) or may simply be a case that the php.ini (the php configuration file) is slightly different.
Finally it could be that the versions of php are different, this can cause problems with passing of variables etc etc etc.

First of all I would create the following txt file

<?
phpinfo();
?>

then upload to both servers, then go to this page, this produces a status/info type page for the machine that serves the page. Compare the old and new servers and more than likely you will see a diffence, such as Different version number for PHP, no XML Libraries, no GLIB, or fOpen set up wrong. You should then know what the problem is and be able to post the problem without fear of revealing any server paths etc etc

Hope this helps

Danny

that strangely seems spot on. The error I'm getting is from I would call a null set, and its the same on the other site that I haven't taken down. And well you did a fantastic job of explanation with my track record and knowledge, I dont even feel up to the task.

I obvioulsy dont know PHP and dont care to, but am tired of needing help and programs not working. Just bugging me that I cant fix what would seem a small problem. A very small problem is preventing me from finishing yet another tiny project, plus I hate quitting, but makes little sense to continue to try to solve it in ways I've already tried. Sorry to vent.....

Anyway I think you hit the problem spot on, which just impresses the hell out of me. Most support I know cant find it with both hands and you nailed it(likely IMVHO) without even knowing the problem. WOW
