Has anyone noticed during their years of domain purchasing that people who have their domains at Netsol ask for more money than other registrars?

I know this is a weird question, but I can't help but to notice over the years that for relatively 'equivalent' (were possible) names that are at netsol and let's say dotster, the netsol owners will ask for more money.

-and this has nothing to do with age as we all know the very old domaions are at netsol.

so, very similar names, very similar dtates of registration, yet netsol owners seem to have an average of +35% asking price.

weird.

Makes sense. most registrars don't charge $35 a year for a domain. If I registered name with them I would have to sell names much higher than I do with paying $7 to make the ROI. Generally I shoot for a minimum of 5x my investment.

At netsol I would have to sell names for $175+
Other places $35+

The people who have names with Netsol are mostly individuals/companies and not reseller/investment so I would guess that has alot to do with it aswell. I had a recent buyer from here ask me why I used so so and so just to save a few bucks. I didn't respond but thought... "Why are you paying so and so twice what I am for the same service. You're not complaining about the price I'm able to sell it to you for."

but they charge $14.95 now.
at least thats what I paid.
But I see your POV.
it kinds of makes sense when talking low numbers.
but for a domain (or many, to use an example):
same date of reg, same application, brandable, no ovt etc...
dotster $1K
Enom $1K
GD $.8K
Netsol $1.4K

thats a rough average of years of buying.

Less, because they are with netsol :)

I agree, if I were the buyer I either wouldn't buy or transfer away.

Those little numbers add up to big bucks. If you have say five hundred names. Each $1 saved one renewal cost is an extra $500 a year in those you might have dumped.

To me thats 50 more potential customers.
