Okay, so basically i have recently been checking the drop-lists and acquiring certain domains. Currently I own 4, and i honestly have no idea how to go about selling them. If anyone could help value them i would be very grateful as i am still very new to this profession.

I have offered each of these names for $75, and then $50. No replies.

my Names:

OnlineTourBooking.com
HomeSearchAssistant.com
PremierGiftGuides.com
ImmuneSystemFacts.com

Many thanks,

Simon

Simon, Take a look around, there are many sellers offering up decent, and some not so decent names, this business is very fickle... takes patience, time, and money...

The longer, and more keywords included in your domains, the harder it can be to sell, under most circumstances, unless very generic terms, with high search volume.

Let's take PremierGiftGuides.com, nobody is going to be looking for a site with the plural GUIDES, it would have to be GUIDE, you will spend a lot of money registering second best names, you have to be very choosy, for obvious reasons the singular is taken, and not available.

If you are straight drop catching, in most cases you are taking the big players, left overs, and fighting the guys with scripts for them.

If you continue registering names like this, you may get lucky the odd time, but in most cases you will end up with lots of inventory, and renewals galore.

I'm not looking for the name's true value though. I'm just looking to catch and flip, really for any reasonable price between $40 - 100

Well I see lots of domains for sale here, not to many buyers... take a scroll down, you really have to hit the domainer sweet spot for them to give you $100 on a fresh reg within the sameday...

ImmuneSystemFacts.com - you should develop that with unique articles on immune system and monetize it through adsense with the right seo you will make much more than the $50 your looking for.

My advice for what it's worth:

1. Don't buy any domains until 3-6 months from now. There will be amazing deals then too.
2. Hang around on DNForum and ask questions.
3. Watch the drop lists--but particularly Namejet--in order to see which domains people bid up high.
4. Ignore estibot appraisals.
5. Avoid paying for personal appraisals.
6. Make a list of all the domains you'd like to look up and register. But don't look them up yet or register them.
7. Watch Sedo auctions to see which domains sell and how many bidders are involved.
8. Familiarize yourself with Google's Adwords traffic tool.
9. In general, try to stick with domains that are 2 words long. Single-word domains of any value should be beyond your budget for now.
10. Concentrate on .com
