23/01/2003 Editor: Angel Krapis
The Greek National Telecommunications Council has announced new regulations for the management of websites with URLs ending in ââ¬Ë.grââ¬â¢.
Each person can now own more than one site with the ââ¬Ë.grââ¬â¢ domain name. Furthermore the ownership of such sites will no longer be restricted to those of Greek nationality.
The council also decided that geographic domain names are to be reserved for local commissions for public service use.
With these changes, the Council is hoping to reinvigorate the Greek network and marketplace.
