The changing pictures on the inquiry form seem broken now.

Acro,

Click on the for sales banner at the top of the page. Second page [inquiry form] the pictures used to change in the lower right hand corner of the screen as you clicked on the various forms fields to fill out [ie. contact name, email address, ect].

The pictures would be different messages on the value of the having a good domain, ie [email protected] for email.

Now it seems a static picture of "A better domain name is an asset which could increase your business"

I know, I know, small things..but Green and Yellow, that picture is not attractive IMO but did well when mixed with the other pictures.

Small point, but in addition to parking revenue, for me the primary draw to IT is their great looking sales pages, which for me are more important then PPC revenue by far.

Do you see the same thing Acro?

Correct, this is fixed now but to be honest, I don't remember the version you mentioned. So every field having a different sales pitch as you type is necessary for the other party to fill out the form? Sounds like overkill to me.

It's not fixed. :)

Your a graphics guy, do you notice a difference on the sales lander before vs. now?

I sure do! :) Its not necessary, but I feel the sales lander before was 100% more visually appealing.

"Fixed now" = it's fixed in place, does not change.

I don't remember the previous sales form, to be honest. If you refresh that page, you get different imagery, however.

On second thought, its growing on me. Perhaps it was done on purpose or there is some A/B testing going on.

They aren't a Sedo.. They let you self-brokerage, commissions are very reasonable if you want them to broker, you have a choice of multiple brokerages, PPC is way higher then the industry standard and a better interface then anyone.

I think they need some slack cut, in fact I think for most they should be thankful for the entire platform, I am. I view IT as more of a gift to the industry.

Unless someone's clearing more then say $500 a month in PPC revenues, support should not be expected.

IT support, and domain additions have been top notch for me. They maybe verifying whois ownership, and if hidden behind privacy, or recent purchase, or even TM issues, this could cause a delay... From day 1 they have said they are a no frills type operator, they keep costs down, to give you the best return.

I was j/k
agree with everything you say

best thing to happen for domainers, perhaps ever

sooner afternic and sedo and other wastes of space disappear the better

has anyone tried searching for domains on afternic? its horrific
bottomline, any sales people are getting on there its through direct navigation thats for sure so may as well sell yourself

one thing I would love Frank to do and thats integrate ecop instead of escrow
again helping hardowrking domainers who are trustworthy rather than siding with number 1 giants
not criticising Frank, just a suggestion for future (if he ever reads this, which I doubt)

Francois is an unsung hero in many ways I feel

Many end users find solace in escrow.com, the domain itself, the physical location of where it resides, and it's long standing history of being in business. If you want to setup a domainer to domainer platform ecop would work well. When you are dealing with large sums, and paranoid end users, escrow is the better solution, at least in North America.

I will say weekends at best is skeleton staff
and for me is unforgiveable of any major online operation, let's be clear here
dns is not a blogger on domaining sitting there in his underpants
it's a multi million dollar operation. it's gotta be 24/7
at minimum skeleton staff weekend, which I think they have
pretty sure no-one on sundays

anyway, this is where sedo is horrific
they have always shut on weekends, it's inexplicable

i have voted with my feet, all domains deleted from sedo for a second time over the years and this time for good

I have been pondering for a while starting a bring down sedo thread lol

the collective power on this forum is immense
we could take a million domains off their database in a week lol

let's do this

there's so much bad about sedo and so much good about dns

afternic is equally bad
