As long as its archived then thats the date it was created I believe. Ok lets take the day of human conception, does creation start during that intimate moment of concievement or during time of birth?.

Now I love Corvettes. Now if I bought a '57 vette back in 1990 would its creation date start at day of purchase or date of manufacture?.

I'm just trying to understand the process of what you or anyone would consider, date of creation. Please explain. :)

Rusty, it's simple: a domain that dropped gets a new creation date once it's registered again. Using your example of human life, it'd mean that Josh Budd passed away on July 1, 1999 and came back to life as the Messiah on April 27, 2005. If it doesn't make sense, it's because the example above is not a good choice. Domains expire and lose their old birthmark; once re-registered they get a new one. You can say a domain existed in 1999 but if it dropped and was registered in 2009 then it's 1 year old - not 11.
