It seems like many newbies here are like 13 years old. They really don't understand business (like backing out of deals after saying SOLD). They don't read the forum sections & instructions; They love the word "premium," they post sex names in the general appraisal section; they do not understanding "Traffic" domains and on & on.

Especially irritating is when they ask for advice, then post for appraisal the worst registered names in existence.

The only saving grace is they go broke, get discouraged & finally leave us within 6 months. Thank God.

Everyone has to start somewhere.

The backing out the deals after saying SOLD or offering a bid on a domain has to be dealt with somehow that's for sure. I have been numerous threads over the past week where things like this has been happening. The same goes with sellers who expect payment in 5 mins after a buyer posts SOLD and then sells to a higher bidder anyways b/c "they need the money"

I know I probably qualify as a newbie to DNF with 15 posts, and all, but the over use of "premium" is unbelievably irritating. Take XXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXX as an example, 60 names and not one even close to premium... I let better names than those expire. It only takes a minute or two to scan a sales list, but when there are 20 "premium" name threads in a row, the wasted time starts to add up!

:sigh2:

No personal attack please - do not post some one else link.

Thanks,
John

Sorry, didn't think it was personal.

Anyhow, you know what I am talking about with or without a link :)

Not all of them are. And there is always the report post button, and itrader rating to reflect these issues.

The actual problem is that many really are teenagers, and as such, cannot enter into any legally binding agreement...so you're always at a risk, buying or selling to newbies

One name I purchased, I asked to deal with their parents. I made a contract with the parents and purchased the name. This way I was protected.
