This morning I decided to backorder a domain and since I might not have made it back to the computer until tonight I decided to put in my max bid (luckily it was only $150). Now, the domain dropped and instead of the $69 catch fee (since I was the only one who backordered it) I am being billed the $150.

Um, what?????? It looks like greed is taking over BIG time!!

They must have changed it - while it is in backorder it is a BID but when it goes to auction it is a proxy bid. WTF?? Next time I'll stick to the $69. :(

Nothing like getting screwed out of $80 when I probably could have just hand registered it myself. :(

You haven't written it but I would guess that it is NameJet you were using. :) As far as I know, they are the only one using this greedy method.
