I was reading an article about Microsoft, and in the article it mentions of course that the name microsoft is an abbreviation for the words Microcomputer Software, which is a GENERIC term. So yesterday (11-20-02) I was on the GoDaddy website checking on some domain names and thought I'd check on microcomputersoftware.com...........and guess what...it was available. Granted, it's a long name and probably not worth much...........YET, but you got to admit those are the two words that started the whole microsoft empire. I have no plans for the domain name except to resell it someday.
Google search turned up 18,600 results for "microcomputer software" and 209,000 results for the terms without quotes.
There are no trademarks for the phrase "microcomputer software", but there are TM names with company names ALONG with the two terms.
By the way InternationalBusinessMachines was not available!!
