I personally don't trust Overture as a benchmark used by domainers to predict future value.

Google Adwords has worked wonders for me in evaluating and projecting supply and demand. Bugger thing though, you need to pay for keyword testing. But overall, an excellent tool for diagnostics.

Google Adwords works for me. I think why OVT is used so much because of the relative ease of entering words in the search box. With Google Adwords there are a few more steps involved.

Btw: Nice Christmas tree Mole. Is this the official DNF Christmas tree??

Google Adwords and Overture work on different principles.
I couldn't find a way in Google to find a number of searches for
particular word/phrase.
The only closest thing is Traffic Estimator which estimates clicks/day but still not for many phrases, while Overture counts
show everything above 20 searches a month.

I've just been checking some of my sites.

I looked at girl centre, and overture returned counts for girl center. What's the use if it's going to include mis-spellings if you're trying to check a name. If I'd wanted to check the mis-spelling, I'd have mis-spelt it.

Yes, they have several problems.
In this case it tried to "help" you by assuming your misspelling.

The most annoying thing at Overture is their listing of more than two words; mostly it sorts it alphabetically.
