.NU Auction:

Back by popular demand, Sedo is proud to present our second .nu auction. In the first .nu auction some excellent domains like casino.nu and sex.nu were purchased. Among the top names up for grabs in this auction are porn.nu and store.nu.

The .nu is the Internet country code top level domain (ccTLD) assigned to the island state of Niue. The domain is very popular in Sweden, Denmark, Norway [2], the Netherlands and Belgium, as nu is the word for "now" in Swedish, Norwegian, Danish and Dutch.[This market is up and coming, so don’t miss your chance to own a .nu! .SH Auction:

Not to be outdone, the .sh auction will be held simultaneous to the .nu auction. Although the .sh is the Internet country code top level domain (ccTLD) assigned to St. Helena, it has become synonymous with Shanghai in the Chinese market. This is also our second.sh auction and the names are twice as impressive this time around! In demand names like phone.sh and holidays.sh are yours for the taking!

Interesting but never Sedo points the "cons" about .nu and in my opinion so many newbies fall for things that may overexpose them to troubles.

This is for example what I wrote regarding the past .NU auction:

I won`t go into the debate about .NU beign good or bad but I`ll rather point facts:

Actual nudity, however, is rarely welcome[4] and various names such as six.nu, sex.nu, xxx.nu, vous.nu and por.nu merely return "THIS DOMAIN NAME HAS BEEN REVOKED BY .NU DOMAIN"[5] and are not available for registration on .NUdomains' site.[6]

.NU DOMAIN LTD PRICES

The registration fee for a standard .NU DOMAIN name is € 60 for two years.

After two years, you may renew your standard domain for an additional two years (€ 60), three years (€ 85), four years (€ 110), or five years (€ 130).

The registration or renewal fee for a .NU DOMAIN Premium Name Services name is as follows:

One-Character: one year (€ 500), two years (€ 1000), three years (€ 1500), five years (€ 2000)

Two-Character: one year (€ 250), two years (€ 500), three years (€ 750), five years (€ 1000)

We also charge a nominal € 10 fee for all modifications to technical contact and name server information. There is no charge for changes to your personal information, including billing E-mail address changes.

Domain name deletions are processed at no charge.

There is a charge of € 150 for transfers of a domain name registration from a current registrant to another, plus a one year registration fee € 30 for a standard domain name, € 500 for a one-character Premium name and € 250 for a two-character Premium name.
