I see discussions about 3 to 5 digit domains that often spell nothing out but still meaningful for an acronym despite a 1 or 0 in the name. How about domains that do spell out a word? Does anybody have some and care to share their list?

Example: Business is 28746377 on your phone

Here are a few that I have.

8398464.com = Texting
8398674.com = Text Msg
83982428.com = Text Chat
83988683.com = Text Vote
278473.com = Cruise

I don't like the idea unless you also own the word that the numbers spell.
8398464.com = Texting Texting is easier to remember and if you try to market 8398464.com as Texting, I think you will loose some traffic to texting.com That is why it would help to own the word as well as the number.
739.com=sex 739 is easier to remember that a 7 digit number, but I still would be careful about marketing it as "sex".com
I do think it make the numeric domain more valuable if it spells something vs just some generic number. Also shorter is better. 3 to 5 digit max. No one remembers a 7 digit number the first time they see it.
Just my 2 cents.

Thank you for your reply.

You do not have to remember the numbers at all. You only need to remember the word. It's like calling 1-800-Flowers. You hit the corresponding numbers for the words Recall of the numbers is irrelevant. The company WordSpell has mastered the numeric domains.

Also you're right it would be great to have the same word domain that the numeric name spells. But the beauty of instant and ghosting redirect comes into play. A company can own the numeric word and have it redirect to their main site. Or have many numeric words that all redirect to their main site or sub domains. It makes it very easy for a mobile user to access the site. Just remember one word and punch in the corresponding numbers and they are there.

Another example. The word Business, it's counterpart is 28746377.com. But Business.com does not own it. Instead there is a silent redirect to WordDial.

It's a lot like the 1-800 numbers that existed before the internet came out.

Here is a cool site if you would like to play around with numbers, phonespell.org

Thanks again for your reply this is a neat subject, Brian
