I had 16 names on my NW watchlist.
And, I was the highest bidder on 5.

And, now 3 are marked pending.
I ended up with the two cheapest.
And, "someone" ended up with Cleansing.net $ 501.

I would say NW had a bad day today.
Not counting the poor performance for the past 4 days due
to their website problems.

Is this the same ratio and results that other NW users got today?

I had 2 in today. 1 is marked pending so I have no clue. The other I know they didn't get because I got it with Club Drop.

I did crappy today with Namewinner. Yesterday was ok and the day before was pretty good. 1 for 1 with snaps day before yesterday and no snaps yesterday or today.
CD did well for me a couple of days ago and ok yesterday 1 ok one today. I think I moved back to the bottom of the list as of 2 days ago when I got some decent ones which were probably contested.

I also had 3 snaps on names dropping today. I got two of them.

I guess BuyDomains got the the third USDollar.net

Yesterday, I had only one snap on a name. And, I did not get it.
BuyDomains got it. Dues.net

So, I am 50/50 on snaps for the past two days.

And, I would speculate that 50% is my average rate of success with Snaps.

But, higher the potential value of the name, lower the success rate with Snaps.

A high profile domain name would probably have a success rate of 10 - 25%

My figure is about 25% success rates with snaps on midcap domains. With a 3 move limit it is nip and tuck. I usually end up with my last snap being more personal than big bucks so I don't totally blow 44 bucks.

Think,
I went back for the past two months. And, you were "right on the money". My success rate with SnapNames was 26%

And, I am now making a mental note. Everytime SnapNames does not get a name for me. I lost $ 14. - hard cash.

I only had one snap on a name today. VinylPlastics.com And, I did not get it. NW went from $8. to $88. in the last 60 minutes on VinylPlastics.com. And, NW did not get it. (I was not the final higher bidder.)

I probably lose 2/3 of the time to BuyDomains.

I wonder if they are selling as many names as they as they are buying?

But, in reality, it doesn't matter. If they have an average acquisition cost of $ 30 (7. - 500.) And, they sell it for an average price of $ 1,000. (?) . Then, they can afford to carry a heavy inventory.
