Ok I know obo means "'or best offer"
My question(s) ..
1.If a domain is listed for sale at $1000 or obo and I offer $300 should I get the domain for $300 if no other offers come in ??
2. If a domain is listed for sale at $1000 or obo and I
post sold for $1000 ..then the seller gets a $1500 offer can he/she back out by saying $1500 is the "best offer"

My point is why do people use obo in their sales threads??
Been pondering this for a while now.. anyone ??

OBO is Or Best Offer but that offer is determined by the domain owner, but necessarily whatever the best offer is that is posted in the thread.

So I see a domain I want listed @ $xxx or OBO in the fixed price subforum

I post "Sold" @ $xxx .. the seller has the option to wait for a better offer ??

Perhaps they should be listed as " offers wanted " minimum offer @ $xxx and not allowed in the fixed price subforum

Only my 2 cents

If you post sold for $1000, seller is bound to sell. OBO applies only for less than $1000 in this case and it's upto the seller to decide if he wants to sell or not as long as the offer is less than $1000..even if it's $999. There is no way, seller can go and shop for more offers when he quotes the price as $1,000 and you agreed to buy at $1,000.

I think the answer is above.

"ask the OP." if the $1,000 was BIN then you have a firm price. the way you posted it its open for debate as you can see.

I would say

#1 question: the answer is NO, unless OP wants to let it go for $300. Your $300 is an offer he can reject your offer.

Good Luck

Anything bought at a posted BIN should be binding.
