Hi

I have been offered $750 for WorldPeace .mobi at AfterNic and wondered what your thoughts are?

Cheers.

I think it's a reasonable price. It's a commonly known phrase but not a commercial term, so any value would have to come through development (ie: it won't get type in traffic and so it's hard to monetize without developping it). This is just thinking from a business standpoint, it's a term that could also be used for a non-profit type site.

very nice phrase, but think fair offer, plus hard to monetize in future

I have accepted the offer, but had AfterNic put it in their Closing Soon section on the homepage for 7 days to see if anyone else comes out of the woodwork with a better offer.

$750 is a great price, you did the right thing... esp. for the .mobi ext that nobody will remember in a year or two ;)

Just curious...did you have no choice but to send it to the 7-day auction?

I could have accepted it straight away, but rather than going back with a counter offer thought this perhaps a better way of getting more for it.

The purchaser still is obliged to purchase it for $750 in 7 days if no higher offer is made.
