Hello,

I have made contact with a few end users, and just have received a reply with a $500 offer.

The reply was: "Honestly, I would pay a max of 500 for that domain. I really don't have time for bargaining, but if you decide you want to sell for that, drop me an email."

Accept/Counter/Decline?

Thanks in advance!

Even if the offer is only in email? (So he didn't made any bid on sedo/godaddy, etc).

Is it worth more?

This month I turned a $10 offer into a $1,000 sale. Initial offers should always be countered. If he won't budge at $500, you can always accept his initial offer. Just my opinion.

He starts with "honestly" which means he's full of BS. There is a fact in sales, most people offer 25% less than they are usually willing to spend. I've personally found this to be true.

My personal reply would be: "$750 and the domain is yours. Sound good?" But you can change the price to whatever you think is fair....to me if he offered $500, he'll pay $750....I may even push to $1k.

I have countered with $1k, ($1,500 is the min price but for a quick sale I can offer it for $1k blah blah blah). Waiting for his reply.

I hope you get the sale! Usually, I try to keep my responses short and sweet. Too many words aren't always a good thing.

fobiss if you were confident nationalmedic.com will make you some money and you can resell for more than 500 at some point it was okay to counter with 1000.

keep in mind if he meant what he said in his response then you may never hear from him again. even if you tell him later you'll take his 500. some buyers are picky and this happens often when market is not tops for sellers.
imo term "medic" is not that widespread, paramedics being called medics is most common use, even then some folks may get it some may not, you'd have to work with health care to hear that term often. keep that in mind if buyer should respond? good luck!

1. You contacted him first so he does not have the need for the name
2. Someone will reply JUST FOR FUN for these type of email - Rarely you will close the sale with this type of marketing
3. He does not even have a Dime - So making an offer is out of the question

there is also a chance if you'd accepted his 500 after his first email he wouldn't have paid you or something like that. so johnn is correct and you never know.
all domaning involves risk and you take a chance.

The first offer received is often the last you'll ever get... :)

This is a niche domain for a niche market. Legal groups and lobbyist may be interested but it will still be a tough sell.

My advice is to read through the actual law itself (it is not that long) and determine who your market is and then start to make contacts with those players in the market.

I see it as being a good name for Litigation firms. But it is still going to be a tough sell.
