Would like to hear your views on the domain: OhioLawyers.org

7th most populous state with 11.5 million people wikipedia

All extensions taken as you'd expect.
Obviously .com is best but I would say this is second because of extension and subject matter, gives credibility etc.

Question I have is I'm not going to develop as too much work to do a directory etc and I know nothing of area, had number of years, regged, 2003, what do you think one firm of lawyers would pay to own in Ohio?

Anyone have any experience selling similar domains. I have a rough idea in my head but grateful for any pointers, particularly stateside.

OhioLawyers.org

Many thanks

Direct state lawyer domains do not do as well as specific geo targeted city lawyer domains, many of these have been dropping from large directory portfolios. The fact every extension is parked, with links to for sale sites, does not help prospects.

Most end users use specific firm names, if you find a end user who is willing to branch out, you will most likely get low to mid $xxx, and if you can really sell the benefits maybe you can luck out around $800 on a good day.

Anyways, best of luck, It is a great domain, just depends what you do with it.

Good analysis, I would still buy the domain if I feel the price is good..

Thankyou very much for advice Guys it is much appreciated
i will search my email as couple years ago i did approach some laywers and couple got back, think i asked too much though as know how much even one new lead can make them and a potential new client for life, i felt mid - high x,xxx was fair if i remember

the fact all are parked and for sale i see as quite good. none are ranking

only 2 worth having imho. of course the .com numero uno, im guessing they want low to mid xx,xxx range?
then .org next imho

rest are trash

i may throw a 2 page site up to rank well and then is under endusers noses and can show benefits. spend a few hours on it.

what you reckon? or just leave and send some emails?

There is no doubt lawyers can generate $xx,xxx plus from online leads, most are so busy with their own practices to give any thought or knowledge to the benefit of these names, it really comes down to their IT people, and the feedback they provide the lawyer. If I was an attorney making mid 6 figures, I would securing every niche domain in my area of expertise, and then some. It is amazing how cheap some lawyers are, when it comes to selling domains, they always seem to want something for nothing.

I suppose that domain name could be good for the organizations in certain region.
So in my opinion that would not be high price for that domain name if you decide to sell it.

right on airmax - just yesterday i approached a few firms and orgs for a very very generic law sector that fits the .org ext perfectly. this domain could have been the focal point of a huge ad campaign and easily worth high $X,xxx...best offer I got was $1,000 (declined it)

Pred, there is a lot of value in your domain and I think your valuation and estimation of the perceived value isnt too far off the mark. considering the high $ value of leads a domain like this can easily bring in some cash every month...I would hold and develop
