It was years ago (probably about 10) when I came across "the next big thing" on the internet. The next rival of ICANN. They were selling off domains at about $10 a pop with TLDs of .xxx, .cars, .anything-- but there was only one catch to it, in order for an end user to visit these extensions, they would have to install software for them to resolve correctly. At the time, I believe they were advertising 2 millions end-user installs...
Did this company ever catch on or did it die like a lot of the dotComs? Does anyone remember what I'm talking about? :?:
