That's pretty cool. This could be a good thing for websites.. with Google backing them - they would most likely only grow bigger and better.


edit: Or it could completely destroy it. I know of a movie script site that was "bought".. it died like 6 months later because the original owner who was now basically an employee just didn't care.

And then there was that writing site.. called inkspot.com or something like that? It was huge. It got bought and then the company decided they couldn't afford to keep it up. It was a MASSIVE resource and the people who sold it regretted selling it.

Of course, these were way back in the day when there was money pouring into the internet.. and before the big pop. :)

I think dodgeball.com was a great idea and I'm really happy those two are getting backing for it.
