I see a one word .biz available to hand reg. Not a big market but niche relating to crafts. Any value? Should I register?

Short answer, yes.

It depends on the word itself, whether it is a noun, verb, adjective or a compound word. Also whether it conveys a positive message or not.

Some can sell for 4-figures.

My litmus test is to type that word into google and see if anybodys paying for adwords for that word / or if the top 5 sites use that word in their header.

At least then you can probably get your money back by selling to those webmaster if needed.
