L I E N S.org

5 letter generic / one word dictionary domain name..

Heres google : http://www.google.com/search?hl=en&q=liens

Definition: http://www.answers.com/liens&r=67

Just wondering what your thoughts are on value...this is a huge consumer finance issue on many different levels and has massive overture results for this exact term and many other related topics such as tax liens & property liens, lien sales, etc..there is a very big commercial industry built around this main keyword/subject and it also has many bidders and high value advertisers under this search term...and it's the correct plural version which refers to all things related to "LIENS"

I am just wondering what a good reseller and end-user value would be in your opinion as I have a few smaller offers on the table right now and don't want to far undersell this one...any educated input would be greatly appreciated. :eek:k:

Regards,

Chris

It's tough to appraise a name like that without knowing the stats from your parking company to check for any natural traffic which it may or may not get.

Without the benefit of stats and therefore assuming basically no traffic I would say about $500 as mosty a brandable name but with good potential if fully developed. Of course, a financial org is much more difficult to brand vs a .com, which would also tend to get more typeins.

imo, this is a name that is going to get only lots MORE attention in the future.

Right now, I'd say $8,500 and that may be low. One word .orgs are appreciating rapidly in value but the value on liens.org; due to the significant increases in defaults and foreclosures in the USA, I can see this go up twice in value in early 2008.

The financial industry with the government bailouts, just dropped interest rates a quarter point to help out buyers as well as sellers avoid a national calamity due to the EZ loan with no collateral as security schemes.

There are so many end users for finding homes in foreclosures or how to avoid and this name is perfect for easy to find content and ad money.

This just my opinion.

After 6 months of realestate courses, and brokers exams... this term was brought up quite frequantly.
I feel like the extention fits great. Though the .com would fetch a bit more.. to me, the .org fits much better.

Like you said, there are many types of liens. You got liens against an owners real estate for taxes, mortgages, trust deeds, judgments, and mechanics liens. Forclosure rates are going up... and thats when you see a lot of liens being paid off.

319 Million google results for "liens"
264 Million for "lien".... "liens" being the more popular of the two.

of the major TLD's the following are registered:

LIENS.COM
LIENS.NET
LIENS.ORG
LIENS.INFO
LIENS.MOBI
LIENS.BIZ
LIENS.US
LIENS.CO.UK
LIENS.TV
LIENS.CN

Leaves you with a general term, a large audience, and a high end TLD. I honestly wouldn't accept anything below 5k, maybe more.

Reseller value in my opinion should be close to 5-7k... end user... a little patience and the right contacts, i dont think 9-12k is unrealistic. Dont short yourself, no need to rush this one.

I think people that are in that field might be slightly biased in terms of what its worth if they are also in the domain field. I like the name, I would think its a medium level generic, and that the .org obviously hurts. I think if a reseller here would actually make an offer of 2-3k, although many appraise it as more (but would never make that offer), I would think that is a great deal for you, I myself am very negative on .orgs to begin with, so I am sure I am biased too, I am buying a lot of names, but I think at an auction at snap or tdnam I wouldnt bid higher than mid to high $$$. I think orgs really need to be developed in order to have good leverage in any negotiation

Cute one. I would say 2-3k min reseller. 10 years old names can't be sold less then that.

People in the field likely to be less biased and more strategically informed. The .org also helps because liens are often associated with gov/non-profit entities, e.g., tax liens. That said, hard to appraise: I'd say anywhere from low to high $x,xxx, possibly a low $xx,xxx squeaker now (end user) or solid low $xx,xxx later because of the real estate situation.

Liens is used in french for LINKS (several meanings : people links, affiliation, connections, ties, family relationship...) or for HYPERLINKS...
An other possible market? Try http://www.google.fr/search?hl=fr&q=liens to see more and to have an explanation for the number of results in Google.
Hope this help you
