:?:Do you know your girlfriend via network?
Is online dating so good?
But there appear lots of social problems, online crimes and so on?
Will online dating/love be as pure as the old ones?
It also make the teens to touch the dating site at an very low age,is that suitable?
Morality also came accross the challenge.

Online dating can work, but I never tried it, I just hit the bars, clubs, hang out spots, thats what I used to do and was good at it.

I think you raise very good questions. There are concerns which people need to consider.

And this is one of the positives about online dating. I don't see it as a complete substitute for traditional ways of meeting people, but it is a good starting point and another option of course. It allows you to meet people that you might otherwise have never had the opportunity to know. It's not that different from going on a blind date ... which is how I met my wife, :)

I think online dating can be fine as long as its done safely. From a womans prospective it can be scary at the thought of meeting strange men.

On the other hand it can be a good way for those who are shy or uncomfortable doing the party thing to meet new people. It gives you a chance to get to know someone instead of judging a book by its cover.

I have seen people that are normally only for looks end up with someone that they wouldn't have touched at all.

Just because they had the chance to talk to them and get to know them before they met.

I do think that teens signing up for dating sites should be a no no just because its not safe. An adult has better understanding of whats going on in the world and can make better judgement on situations. Teenagers no matter how mature they are its possible to be easily presuaded by someone off these sites.

@ carlton blind date - omg thats scary ...

some my friends ones did this to me - i almost puked when i saw the date especially when it opened the mouth

online is good so you can ged rid of them quicker than usually like block and delete :) so no hassle

i would recommend only online or in private member clubs - where you basically being introduced- anything else is cheap crap

I met my wife online.

I'm sure you all can easily guess how that one turned out. (and she lived over 350 miles away from me when we first met).

As long as you take percautions and be mature about it you shouldn't have many issues.

The funny thing is that we then later realized that we went to neighboring colleges (I went to UMaine in Orono, she went to College of the Atlantic (COA) in Arcadia, Maine (near Bar Harbor, about 30 minutes from Orono) and she and her friends would use the library where I worked at. :)

I know of 2 couples who met online and living great married life’s with kids. One guy wanted to start a dating site. Which I started coding for him. It’s not complete yet but people have started to visit. :ranger:

LoversArea.com

Some have already found partners from this site and got married.

WOW! Before even I complete the site.

Hey Guys/Gals If you have ideas let me know I could add to this.

Thanks.:grouphug:

hot chicks rarely even get on MSN/AIM/ICQ you know ;)
so no.

I do not mean this to offend you but this seems rather narrow minded of you. Thats like saying all guys who are online are ugly and not very desirable. Which is not true.

I have been on these dating sites when I was wanting to create one myself and there are a lot of beautiful women on there. Some have a simple beauty while others may stand out more. I see a lot of women from other countries using these sites because they aren't happy with the guys in their country and they are absolutely gorgeous.

Of course theres going to be a lot of unattractive women as well as men online but you shouldn't classify all women in the same class.

IMO

I'll always see online dating as being "unreal", as something fake, even if the couple goes on to get married and have a great life together. There's just something so artificial about it. Its too convenient, too simply...too electronic.
