Opinions on .ME domains

Just wondering how everyone thinks of these. Are they a good investment if you can find a good or service that has not been registered?

All the .me domains with obvious value are taken, especially the ones that actually fit with the extension.

Good names like Date.me sold at the auction recently.
I would not register .me domains as there aren't any good ones left, I think.

I was just thinking about services like plumber.me electrician.me would those work out or would people even buy those.

I would not invest in .me unless you have amazing generics.

With that being said, if you plan to buy names reg fee...development should be in sight.

they might look good and seem quite marketable - but I think it will be along time before we see mainstream companies using these either as home or promotional address - these domains will just be bought, sold, parked between domainers and never see the light of day as far as development for most...

Wonder when all these new domains extensions will get approved.

Could be looking at a very confusing and crowded internet.

We've already been through this drill with .md for "Medical Doctor," .st for "Street," .ws for "Web Site," and I think .cc for CoCo Puffs - so I'm not holding out much hope for .me, either. How about sohorny.me?

Plus .Me means the same in Spanish as in English also - thats 100's millions more that can use dot .Me
