i wouldn't invest in .org.uk - even though my homepage is .org.uk
If you're looking to resell, invest in .coms, if you're looking to develop, still primarily go for .com .co.uk and .net IMO
sds ,thnx ,,good straight forward advice ,,just what i wanted ,,so basically if i want to make some coin domaining i need to cough up major coin and buy a good domain and try to resell it? Or find a dropped or expired name? the names i passed up 10 years ago ,,,if only there was time travel
can i win a good domain for a bargin in these autions i see?
There are still good opportunities to be had, for examples in the drops (expired domains). Even bargains sometimes but it takes research and effort. Domaining is no easy game
IMO, focus on strong extensions and avoid the poor ones.
The LLL are only valuable in a few TLDs. As for the LLLL, a good, pronounceable one such as a decent CVCV can be worth something if it's .com. But most are barely above reg fee.
just to be clear though. there are no restrictions on .org.uk
anyone from any country can use, for any reason
although yes, they are mainly associated with the area you describe
they also perform as well as .co.uk in google. sometimes better
strong keywords are worth money though
i have even sold LLL.org.uk few times for mid xxx £
although i dont recommend regging tons of them on that advice
Also NL and LN .org.uks have some value. Have sold two for about $500 & $300 respectively right after the 'buyout'.
I wouldn't really recommend .org.uk for speculation though...
I dropped all of my LLL.ccs last year. A waste of time.
