overture.com evaluation

Hi, there is one domain that's about to expire. I tried to rate it before trying to register it.

So, I went to Overture.com and use their "Search Term Suggestion Tool".

The domain name comes up with 6484 hits in November 2002.

Is it good?

Pretty good, worth a reg, but not amazing.

My NissanSkyline.com name get's 50,000 a month, which translates into 100-250 hits a day on the domain.

i wouldnt rely on overture to price domains

Are you talking about hits of the name including tld (extension)
e.g. "domainname.com" or about search phrase e.g. "domain name" ?

Well unless it is one of the top 20 domains on the internet I think that he means the name without the extension.

how about 100K overture ?

There are three words.

It all depends.
If the 3 words are short or describe a product that sells etc.
Also if the three words are in the right order!
Overture sometimes lists words alphabetically.
