Hi all,
Ok so I'm still learning. But I came across SEOCHAT.com's overture keyword tool, and I typed in the 2 words of the domain that I'm interested in.
It shows me a list of words/phrases and the number of searches this month.
I've a few questions:
1. The number of searches show, I guess this is just for Yahoo.com?
2. The 2 words that I typed into the keyword search weren't shown below in the results. Does this mean that no-one is searching my 2 words at yahoo.com?
3. How important is this keyword search in terms of making a decision to buy a domain name?
4. The 1st result that I was shown was a 2 word phrase (related to my 2 word search) and this showed '922' searches. Is this good?
5. The next phrase in the list had 150 searches. The 2 word phrase shown with 922 searchs is 2 words that I would never type into a search engine looking for results. Is this keyword tool accurate? Or could it be that most people don't search the same way that I treat keywords?
6. For example. Say I'm looking at NewYorkHotels.com (which I'm not, but let's take this as an example). After using the keyword tool, new york hotels is no where to be found, but the top listing is hotel new york with 922.
So would that make you think that the hotelnewyork.com is worth buying as the keyword tool puts it at the top?
Also all the other extensions are available... Just seems strange...
Ok if anyone can try to answer any of my questions I'd appreciate it.
I know it's a bit messy, but the keywords I'm looking at aren't NewYork Hotels, I just used that as an example.
Thanks for any help.
Mg
