Basically you have to keep the original content such that people dont remove the backlinks...

If you park it, people will remove the links, it will lose its PR, and lose its traffic.

Personally id take $8k

take the 8k if it's reasonable enough for you and can get a decent ROI.

It depends in my opinion, but what GUA said is true, once the backlinked content is gone, the pr will be gone... (but I disagree that it has something to do with people taking away the links, I just think google is clever enough to "see" the links are not working)

How to make money with music anyway in the internet? I think if you solve them (the music industry) that puzzle, you will be more rich, than with your domain.

Can you get permission to use contents from previous site?
May be able to get at least partial contents from archive.org?
You will gradually lose PR if you don't act fast.

If you currently have it parked the pagerank will drop faster than you think. Be careful not to waste such a high PR. I agree with the others here. See if you can put up again the previous content (if you are allowed to do so by the previous owners).

I doubt that using the original content is allowed, unless it was part of the deal. But it is really important to move the domain away from parking now.

I would either sell the domain for $8K (it doesn't seem to have much value aside from the traffic) or hire somebody to write unique content and create a website about the same topic as the previous site. If you have a website up you can also sell links and other ads and quickly recoup your investment. But domain parking is no option.

sell it! It may drop to PR3 next update and you'll end up with nothing :D
It's a pretty good price
