I can confirm that last night Google started pushing out new PageRank data!

(The first update since August)...

So far 13 of my sites are showing new PageRanks, (9 went down, 4 went up). :upset:

I lost a PR5, but my two PR6's are still standing strong! :eek:k:

Edit:
As I monitor for updates anyways, I thought I might as well keep a log in this thread...

It's happening again folks! - 5th Feb 2013

I'm seeing PageRank updates on over 20 of my sites. (Unfortunately most of them went down 1 spot)... :(

They must also be doing something with incoming links. I steadily built 6000 backlinks through various means and have 300 now. Other sites saw a decrease too, using other services.

Something has definitely changed but I'm not seeing any PR updates. What are you using to monitor your websites?

Everyone took huge hits across the board.

You posted the same comment last time I reported an update too! It still happens, whether you see it or not...

I saw changes on roughly 50% of my ranked sites. I use anything that displays pagerank to check, I have a variety of different ipad and PC apps I use, but failing that, just a browser plugin or toolbar will do...

Yeah, that sucks. I lost all the backlinks to some of my PR sites too, so I think you are right. G is getting much better at telling "natural" links from manufactured / purchased / exchanged links.

'Tis a bit suspect lol

I don't understand the huge drop in backlinks though as they weren't spammy the least bit. Professionally written PR releases, blog posts on authority sites, etc. The only explanation could be the 300 were the solid links and the remainder were duplicates on the same site (recent post, etc.) or autoblogging RSS feeds with my links that made my sites seem as if it was spam, but I would assume that hypothesis is wrong with Google's algorithm. I'll have to go back through and see if some sites closed, if the link is buried or it became so spammy that Google determined all links on the site don't count.

All posts in same niche with relevant keywords too. After some digging, I'll get the info.

As far as PR goes, no change with the drop of links.

I was on Flippa just now, don't ask, it's like my 2nd time there and saw this post:

Google has reportedly removed as much as three quarters of your link profile in Webmaster Tools. A number of users have noticed reductions in the amount of available link data, at this stage it doesn’t look like a bug so get used to knowing less!

Which could explain the loss of links in Webmaster Tools.
