Hello,

I was wondering,
do you need a credit card to accept payments at PayPal?

I need to add a credit card to my paypal ID to accept payments but I can't add my card because they froze my previous account with my credit card information?

Is there any way to accept even if you have no credit card?

Thanks

I don't think that it is a must for one to have a credit card in order to operate a paypal account. A bank account suffices. It is only on rare occasions that some domain registrars like Godaddy require one to have a registered debit/credit card with paypal for back up funds. There what you need now is just to open another account with a new bank account from a different.
good luck.

Just call the credit card company and say your card was lost and they will send a new one with a new number.

Or go to the mall and buy a prepaid credit card.

Be careful opening a new Paypal account , if they closed your last one , as they may repeat it !
Especially if you use same address/phone/cr.card ... it all flags on their system .... and some Paypal dude may just close your account again.. no questions asked !
A friend works with thwm here in Dublin ( Paypal Euro HQ ) , their systems check everything against flagged accounts and log all attempts to add cards etc ... so your new account could be frozen if you have already tried to use your existing cr.card ( even if it did not work )..

Much agreed, especially when you have no fault done with your existing credit card. really adds to the inconvience of dealing sometimes.

Ah ok, then use the CC of your friend, you cant use yours , or they will close his account.

Paypal is very serious about security matters, they wont let you open a new account under your name.

Was your previous account frozen or CLOSED?
