I am setting up a PayPal account for my dad to use and am now totally confused!

With Personal accounts, are people able to send you money using the "Send Money" function in PayPal? It mentions something about not being able to receive credit card payments.

Anyone have a Personal PayPal account and received cash before or have any ideas?

With a personal acocunt, you may receive money from anybody as long as they either:

1) Have the balance in their account
2) Pay with an eCheck or bank account transfer

They do not permit you to receive payment from anybody who wants to fund the payment with a credit card. The reason is because they have to pay a fee to process the credit card. If you receive the money with no transaction fee (which is true of personal accounts), then they lose money.
