I have a bunch of names that I'm not using. Recently I've gotten unsolicited lowball offers for the following:

pctraining.com
seeya.com
netbucks.com
buythishouse.com

What would be fair asking prices?
Is there really any market for domain names at this point?

Thanks,
Bruce

"netbucks.com" has a lot of potiential. With the right investments

Starting to look like you will have a hard time getting a straight answer here. I'll take a few guesses (and that's all these appraisals are - only a buyer with cash in hand can determine the real value):

pctraining.com - $1000-$2000
seeya.com - $50 -100
netbucks.com - $25-50
buythishouse.com - reg fee - $50

The latter 3 don't move me - but might someone else.

Could be made into something cool no doubt. I'm probably too low on that, but it really would depend on what is put on it. If it becomes a lousy site, one visit and it is "See Ya" to the site and the value.

pctraining.com $2000
buythishouse.com $750 (to a broker)

BuyThisHouse.com has excellent sales potential in the real estate market.

It's becoming more and more commonplace to see for-sale signs on homes that show a website address with an ID # for buyers to do virtual tours. BuyThisHouse.com is easy to remember, and a near-perfect domain for this purpose. Nice catch.

Good analysis -RJ-. I wasn't impressed by the name at first because I was thinking 3 words and what would motivate me to buy this house just from looking at a web page. But having it on Real Estate signs in front of a house they are actually visiting it would work great. I was wrong on this one.

Well that would depend if you are the buyer or the seller. If you want to buy a $1000 name you might like to approach the seller with an official DukeofEarl appraisal cerificate of $50 so you could make a killing! :)

I think $50 would be a fair price for an official DukeofEarl wax-seal appraisal.

DISCLAIMER: The above is not a domain valuation; it is a domain appraisal/vluation service valuation

Yes - in this case I would have to do what is right :D

Traffic Monster - The wax seal idea is great - far more impressive than a flimsy paper certificate. I might even sign in blood if I can get people to cough up $100 :)

I'm not sure what kind of business you could build on it - but seeya.biz is still available if you really like it. It is certainly a memorable phrase though. For those who liked netbucks from this list, it is available in .info .biz and .us. I didn't like those two that much, but warmed up to buythishouse.com after RJ's analysis.

No doubt the real home run in the group is pctraining.com.
