Hi

It seems to me exody or someone will need to create a new list of PENDINGDELETE, this will help going after names. By having this compiled list we will know that the names will be dropped within (5) days. Is this possible, just looking for some thoughts.

Daniel - We are making that list soon as names
reach that status. Names must go thru the
REDEMPTIONPERIOD status for 30 days first.
We have the data.. It's just a matter of what
is the "best" way to present it. Our first attempt
created files in the 50 meg area... we'er working
on it... Thanks for your patients

daniel, I'm not sure yet, but I think the drops
will continue from names already in the Registry with a REGISTRY-HOLD status... there sure is a lot that we don't know for sure but the new shared reg whois is about to clear up a lot. Dwayne.

my question is, at what point do names that have recently expired switch to the "redemtion period". You'd think they go to that status immediately after they hit the expiration date. I have seen a lot of netsol names that have expired in the last month or two but have not switched status(quality and garbage names).

Has anyone figured out a formula to determine this? I do not have a snap on the names i am after so if these "transition" names are going to drop without warning i'd like to know about it in advance so i can come up with a plan. I'm talking in reference to names which expired around 30-35 days ago but have not entered the "redemption period" and were not in pending delete on jan 27th (unlike layout.com and nappy.com and the other names which have been dropping in the aftermath but were already set to drop anyway)
