A domain is worth as much as someone is wiling to pay. These were purchased by companies looking to develop the names. I'm sure many members here have sold a domains they didn't see much value in for large sums of money too.

The hard part is guessing the value of the domain to the other person without putting them out. Like a dirty car dealer without having to look them in the eye.
