Nameguy - I think you may be a little confused on what meanwhile.com is used for. So let me explain again.

Our primary provider is Yahoo, they accept traffic from about 30 countries, so if they like your domain and the country the surfer is coming from and you are using Parked.com, you would go to vcg.com without any problems.

But if the domain we banned (like vcg.com is), coming from a country Yahoo doesn't want, or is a domain that Yahoo won't accept for one reason we send you to our secondary provider which is Ask. Ask requires that we redirect you to one central location, so we use meanwhile.com and mustangranch.com.

I have no idea why vcg.com is banned, but it could be because you were terminated from another Yahoo based parking company and a majority of your domains may be blocked. Or is this some domain you just recently purchased and I then can submit the domain to Yahoo for removal from the ban list.

I hope this explains things for you, our system has worked this same way for over a year now.

Donny - thanks for the fast explanation. I'm apologize for jumping to conclusions. I had not seen this discussed before.

No I have not been terminated from another parking company. I have had the domain for a long time. I should note that when I added the name to Parked.com, it had to be removed from another account for some reason first - not sure why. I would appreciate it if you could investigate to see if you could remove this ban at Yahoo. Thanks again for the speedy reply.

I went ahead and submitted it to Yahoo, not sure if they will unban it or not.

Does Parked find on-the-fly whether a domain is banned at Yahoo, prior to displaying ads or redirecting? Just curious how this works. Would it be necessary then to use that mass-forward feature for traffic that cannot be utilized, just in case?

Acroplex - We find out on the fly if a domain is controversial, sensitive, banned, or something Yahoo just doesn't want. We automatically send all of that traffic to our secondary provider. If your domain is banned on a secondary provider then if you have the Alternative Traffic Desination set we will then send your traffic to your choice.
