For the record - whois clearly says "Domain not for sale"...

We could definitely do it at that price. Why do you ask about dnforum?

Well, to ensure that we have valid sale, we can use sedo.com or escrow.com. If you give me the e-mail address you use with either of these,
I can get the transaction started. If you don't already have an account with either of them, I think they are pretty easy to setup. Let me know.

Wait, so unless I sign up for an account with dnforum.com, you don't want to sell to me? This is kind of weird.
If you want to sell, let's do it. If not, there is no point to waste each-other's time.

Oh, I would have felt so bad because of some little fag saying things about me on a forum. LOL.
Get real, dude, this is business. I don't give a shit what you think or say.

These LLL.com whois spammers are SO STUPID and NOT creative. I read this line like hundred times = proof these whois spammers are just stupid idiots. Thats why they come up with "lets spam whois of LLL.com owners" idea in the first place. Limited mental capacity they got.

BTW anyone else wants to play with whois spammers ? It's funny game, I will compile another email exchange which was even more funny with "Heather Connors" for bobbin.com for $50 :)

We could do even some whois spam baiting page like they do with Nigerian scams www.ebolamonkeyman.com

I think he just wanted to get it for cheap -he mentioned using escrow.com or sedo.com that doesn't seem scammy or bad.

i mean i've sold more domains to NON dnforum members (or the other forum) than I have to members. Most forum members aren't those that want to pay the asking price on a domain. we want to buy cheap and sell high.

I know you said 'domain not for sale' was in the whois - but unless the email said

"Dear Domain is Not for Sale," I wouldn't have thought of it as spam - just as a email of someone trying to buy your domain. A compliment to the domain.

Your problem with it was because you don't know them, and they emailed you?

OK so the dude offering me Viagra 100 times a day is not spammer either - he just want to sell me Viagra, no ?

And have you noticed I wrote that in whois is clearly written "Domain not for sale" ?

My problem is that I get hundreds of these idiotic emails, thats "my problem"...

@denny-you're having a bad day, aren't you?
YOU asked $500, and the guy was just hoping for a bargain.
Now if you receive emails from the same guy, on other LLL's, with the same text, I would understand your reaction.

So you think is appropriate to ask if domain is for sale for a domain which whois clearly says "domain not for sale" ???

Imagine if there would become popular people on intersections asking every car driver around "Hey do you want to sell your car ?", so car owners would start marking their cars "This car is NOT for sale" and some idiot would still ask them "Is your car for sale ? I know you wrote here you car is not for sale, but maybe it is ? You know I am totally retarded idiot so if I see that car is not for sale I feel like I have to ask anyway"...

And I play with these idiotic whois spammers all year long, have lot of funnier exchanges than this one, but have not published it on this forum (yet).

The fact you do not get enough of these "offers" to become pissed off says something about YOUR PORTFOLIO not about me...

I agree w/ Denny. If the WhoIs clearly says "Domain is not for sale" then someone asking for him to sell it is just plain rude and proves that they only looked for the contact email, that's it.

Denny - Ever think of publishing them in a book? :)

Get off your high horse you stupid twat, you may have a good portfolio but your an absolute wanker and why you haven't been banned from DNF a second time is beyond me. Big deal you got an email requesting if you want to sell a domain name which you specified is not for sale. What if you had a change of mind and really didn't mind selling it, you wouldn't be carrying on like you are now aye!

Denny... what about looking at it from another angle.

Many legitimate businesses and even many entrepreneurs still think you register domains for two years and so every two years you'll "pay your money for the domain"... and everything just continues as is. Many people I consult still have old information on their whois, because they didn't know how to update their information about their domain (or didn't even know they could).

So, if you have someone like this that is just learning how to look up a whois to see if they can buy a domain, they might be just thinking its been a long time since you updated. (And yes even if the whois has a "date last updated", that doesn't matter to someone who is legitimately just trying to buy a domain and doesn't really understand the industry.)

He asked if the domain was for sale? You said $500. He said great. Then you insulted him.

Couldn't you have just typed an initial five word email. "Domain not for Sale, Thanks"

Denny:
I don't know
Spambiatch:

code.
Denny:
What means "network solutions account" ?
Spambiatch:
Forward me the email you just got from network solutions.
Do you have a PayPal?
Denny:
I did not get any email, I do not use Paypal
how about escrow.com ?
Spambiatch:
escrow.com works too.
wait for that email
Spambiatch (2 weeks later)
Did you get any emails from network solutions?
Denny:

these whois spammers use automated software and not look individually on the names/email

I also get similar emails but every time from a different email account and with different Display names

Seems for some people here is difficult to grasp basics: THINGS are NOT FOR SALE, unless stated OTHERWISE ! that means DOMAIN is NOT for SALE unless it is LISTED for sale, whois says it is for sale etc. Would you really like if every day 10-20 people would ring at your door asking if you want to sell your house, flat, appartment, car etc ? Or if 10-20 people would ask your wifes or girlfriends if she would have sex with him for momney ? No you would not like it, because for those things people understand basic - things are NOT FOR SALE unless stated otherwise. So WHY would be domains any different ???

I can delete an email in the blink of an eye.
You should be flattered you have such a great domain name. If/when you ever decide to sell you can truthfully say "I've had xxxx inquiries on this domain".

Now here is what would be REALLY funny - just think of the cool emails you could have back and forth with him if he decided his acceptance of your $500 price is a binding agreement and wanted to PUSh the issue ha ha ha ha - now that is an exchange I'd like to see!

I am deleting thousands of junk (unsolicited) emails every day, thats a lot of "eye blinks", no ?
if he decided his acceptance of your $500 price is a binding agreement
Or if he decided Earth should be rotating backwards - there would be morning in the evening and evening in the morning...

exactly.
there's no point on replying them at all.
if you want to be nice, set an Auto Response for every email received on the whois address...something like:
Not for sale..... Unless you're loaded
