I agree, however, I think with any and all domains, value is in the eye of the beholder. I'm looking to pay $200 right now for a domain that I would not value anywhere NEAR that, but it fits nicely with my plans. That said, if someone WAS interested in SexU.tv, I would imagine the right push behind it, would be much better than SexU.ws, .cc, .nu, .br, etc.
Among most domain buyers/brokers, there is a going perception that .tv is "Tuvalu", country-code wannabe and that's that. Considering .tv Corp's policy on "premium" domains, and .tv's increased usage and visibility in mainstream media, I'm thinking there is value if you can find the right buyer (AND an appropriate market category). Many "premium" domains have been bought up despite some hefty price tags. I'm amazed myself, but I'm careful to take note.
Not only was that a method for .tv Corp. to make money out of the starting gate, it was a very crafty way of proving the domains existing and practical marketability. I would personally like to know of the domains that are already registered, which of these are renewed at what price. Part of it is a privacy concern (though the information was public prior to registration), but it would definitely help the uphill battle for the domain's ongoing valuation by the market.
The only reg I remember was Sex.tv's reg was One Million/year. --I was very bemused when the status changed to "registered".
Some thoughts.
