A lot of errors in your markup that could be fixed by simply changing the Doctype.. Other than that you should consider improving the user experience and implicating a more modern layout imo

But man, Directories are a headache, because it's going to be full of spam soon, believe me.... Been there, done that, usually not worth the headache...

You would be better off creating a curated directory featuring the best blogs on the internet. Driving traffic will be next to impossible but hey... at least you'll have a developed website.

I would suggest scrapping this and using a nice Wordpress theme. There are hundreds of directory themes to choose from. It would really increase the functionality and enhance the user experience. See http://reviewsster.com

Focus on quality - content and UX (user experience) over a mishmash of sites. Users seek quality ... not quantity.
