I like it.

Plus, I recognize 3 of the players on the margins. That's says a lot for an American NFL fan.

Pretty good design. I'd personally change the site background for something different than a black to white gradient + get rid of the players on the sides.

By the way, I'm guessing that the player you didn't know was the one on the right, under Wayne Rooney. I think that's Mario Balotelli. He's allergic to grass, and can't put his training vest on: http://youtu.be/lYU-SeVofHs

Precisely! I think his jersey says Chad? Not sure if that is a national team shirt or league.
