For those of you who might use encrypted connections in your browser, you might want to be aware of POODLE, the latest thing to infest the Internet, attacking SSL 3.0 connections. The vulnerability does not impact TLS protocols (which are newer) and the easy workaround is to disable SSL 3.0 in your browser.
If you have servers running SSL 3.0, you just might want to start looking around for more information about this vulnerability. This is something that affects all SSL, not just Microsoft or Linux, but here is an interesting and Microsoft article for your additional edification...

Using TLS 1.1, 1.2 instead of SSL 3.0 is advisable until this vulnerability is fixed. Disabling this (at present) is straight-forward in MS IE browser but needs configuration edit in other browsers (Firefox, Chrome).
