popular domain extensions

Hi everyone, I wanted to get your thoughts on a specific question. I’ve been noticing more and more domain extensions with .io lately.

Is there any real advantage to buying a domain with this type of extension? Or is it better to stick with the more traditional ones like .com, .fr, or .net?

There are no good COMs for sale. Corporates have left us with very little options. You can't find a good one word dot-com even with a good budget today. Investing in .io is honestly, its your call.. Every year, there's a new trend.. Of late, it was .si... Do it if you are willing to spend the buck, and take the risk.
